No more procrastination

How to NOT procrastinate!

Do you end up piling up work and end up doing everything just near the deadline?

That's procrastinating, it means postponing anything and everything.

Now here's a question you should ask yourself, Would you postpone your birthday party or any other exciting event to another day?

Of course, you wouldn't..right?

A party or an event is something you would be extremely excited about, and so you wouldn't even think about the idea of postponing it.

Now, let's get to the point, why don't we think of our tasks or work this way?

Because it's boring, too much hard work,  but wait!

What if we just thought of it this way, When you're done with everything, all the work given to you. You can anything you want to!

So instead of trying to be excited about doing work, we can simply be excited about the after, what all we can do if we complete it just in time?

Now here are 5 tips to complete your work just in time, without letting the laziness overtake you:

  • Do the tough tasks first📓.
  • If you start with the tasks you find difficult, you will be extremely relieved when you complete them and much more productive!

  • Use Pomodoro sessions ♪.
  • Pomodoro sessions is a time management method, in this technique we break down work into small intervals. Pomodoro sessions also have breaks in between each interval. Relax for awhile in the break, each break is a chance to reset and bring your attention back to what you should be working on.
  • Have a to-do list 📝 .
  • Having a to-do list is always helpful, keep slashing out all the tasks your done with and keep count, to be more productive.
  •  Keep away the distractions🚫.
  • Keep away your phone, or any other distractions that may disrupt your focus.

  • Set early deadlines📅 .
  • "I have to submit it tomorrow, I'll do it tomorrow no big deal!" you have to stop thinking like this. Instead, just trick your mind to believe you have to submit it now and believe me you'll love the results. You will be done with everything so quickly and now you'll have so much of free-time!

Now get to work! You can do it! ✨

The Youth Leadership Conference (my experience)

I never imagined that I would get to live my dream. A dream I aimed for, growing up, watching movies where students would live their best life in college. I wanted to be like those main characters, living a life with their roommates, having friends to run the hallways with and feeling excited for what comes next. I am eternally grateful to have lived my dream. I am grateful to have gotten a taste of the dorm life before my college experience through this intensive but rewarding youth leadership conference. 14th July. The packing that I had weeks to do was done in one day or specifically in a few hours before we had to leave.  At around 1:30, we arrived at Texas Wesleyan University. It took us a few minutes to navigate to the registration desk, but then we made it. My parents helped me unpack and dropped me off at the dorm. I waited there for my roommate. Honestly, I was anxious to see who my roommate for 5 days would be because no matter how anyone else at the conference was, ...
An icy death The forlorn shadows of the troubled leaves danced in the sun’s yellow light, As water stood placid, Even with the roar of the winds, For the top most layer of the water had frozen into dangerously thin ice,  A crack appeared as a fish hit the layer of ice, Slowly it all crumbled, Falling down sharply leading to a fish’s partial demise, As ice suddenly hit the bottom of the ocean floor, There came a shark, sea carnivore, It tore out the fish’s flesh before it could escape, Blood seeped into the water, As the fish was consumed whole. -Vidhi Dasani.
