The 3 p's for better presentations

       How to give better presentations?

Preparing for your next presentation? Well, you found the right place!

Here are the 3 P's to remember and follow when you are giving a presentation or delivering a speech :)

PREPARE!- This is extremely important, it's compulsory for you to prepare! And the more you prepare, the more confident you become! It may be tough, but the more you work hard for it, the easier it becomes for you to give a smooth and engaging presentation or speech. And as you prepare, DO NOT byheart the content try and understand it! Because you may blank out or get nervous and forget everything so if you actually understand the content it will stay with you!

POSTURE!- You don't want to end up looking like a candy cane, so sit up straight and look up straight, don't look down or at your hands, look at the audience! Your posture tells a person a lot about you, and slouching is not a very good first impression. Keep your back straight and relax your muscles.

POTASSIUM!- Eat Bananas before your speech or presentation! No, I'm not joking, seriously Bananas are rich in tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood, and generally makes you feel happier, that means if you have a Banana before your presentation or speech, you will not feel nervous or anxious at all! Also Bananas are rich in potassium which helps regulate fluid balance, muscle contractions, nerve signals and it may help reduce blood pressure and water retention. So Bananas in total are a rich meal!

  11. Vidhi your work is really commendable. Your presentation skills, articulation with so well planned thought process and super confidence are your attributes which would surely bring more succes in your kity. Love your posts and specially yours words of wisdom on how to tackle the most common yet most trickiest situation which is depression, anxiety and bullying. At this age your words are so sharpened up and your flow of words are perfect....can't even think that at the age of 13 you have penned down so artistically and beautifully which even a matured person fails to do. You are true inspiration and I pray and wish do your success and would love to celebrate and be a part of your success with my smallest of contribution if possible.

The Youth Leadership Conference (my experience)

I never imagined that I would get to live my dream. A dream I aimed for, growing up, watching movies where students would live their best life in college. I wanted to be like those main characters, living a life with their roommates, having friends to run the hallways with and feeling excited for what comes next. I am eternally grateful to have lived my dream. I am grateful to have gotten a taste of the dorm life before my college experience through this intensive but rewarding youth leadership conference. 14th July. The packing that I had weeks to do was done in one day or specifically in a few hours before we had to leave.  At around 1:30, we arrived at Texas Wesleyan University. It took us a few minutes to navigate to the registration desk, but then we made it. My parents helped me unpack and dropped me off at the dorm. I waited there for my roommate. Honestly, I was anxious to see who my roommate for 5 days would be because no matter how anyone else at the conference was, ...
An icy death The forlorn shadows of the troubled leaves danced in the sun’s yellow light, As water stood placid, Even with the roar of the winds, For the top most layer of the water had frozen into dangerously thin ice,  A crack appeared as a fish hit the layer of ice, Slowly it all crumbled, Falling down sharply leading to a fish’s partial demise, As ice suddenly hit the bottom of the ocean floor, There came a shark, sea carnivore, It tore out the fish’s flesh before it could escape, Blood seeped into the water, As the fish was consumed whole. -Vidhi Dasani.
